Firma landscape architecture developed a grand entry for a new luxury development in the San Luis Obispo hills, working from concept through construction on a statement experience for future residents and visitors. Concept design included the incorporation of a stepping wall and drainage basin, as well as three directions of travel. The final design elegantly sets into the rolling landscape while incorporating a palette of native and low-maintenance planting material to blend the edges and frame the entry. A coherent palette of hardscape materials makes a subtle statement of longevity and elegance while accentuating the natural beauty of the location, including a centerpiece specimen oak.
